How long can a mother retain the child benefit when her daughter keeps threatening to go and love with her dad, a situation which you guess will be temporary ? The father lives a chaotic lifestyle, and if the child benefit is passed over to him, it will be very difficult to retrieve when daughter returns home. The mother is working and paying the mortgage on her own for his three children and cannot manage without the child benefit She does not receive any maintenance
