Ok so i know the CSA is a hot topic on the forum, and for some parents like myself we rely on this organisation in order to receive anything, However, my recent experience baffles me!!

My ex pays his pathetic rate of CSA through the CSA on a weekly basis and recently missed a few payments. After ringing to find out what was going on i was told that a payment had been made but that there was an ongoing change of circumstances going on. Now obviously they couldnt tell me what this was, or indicate whether my ex is trying to shirk his responsibilities that little bit more but its frustrating knowing something is due to change soon but not what.

Skip to today i got a text to say a payment for less than the original amount was on its way, a fair few days earlier than expected. I phoned them to be told ex had made a large payment to cover arrears, and this payment was part of it, but they have no idea why it isnt the full amount, or what is going on!!! The change in circumstances has been paused (??) for 2 weeks so its got nothing to do with that.

So now i''m sat waiting to see if and when the rest of last weeks payment will appear, what the changes are and whats going on. All i get told is that given my stbxh nature i shouldnt rely on his payments. Difficult to do when i am a full time student!!! They have allowed him to pay late because apparently his car tax was due (in the middle of the month) before now so i hold out no hope!!

I think those NRP who have negative dealings with the CSA must have a different department to us RP''s with lousy stbxh''s who try to dodge paying!!!
