In my divorce, no Consent Orders were signed and no assets or money dealt with between us.

My ex-husband now wants a Clean Break Order signed and has declared himself bankrupt. Would signing a Clean Break Order interfere with child maintenance (doing this through CSA)? And I''m presuming any payments will stop to CSA due to the bankruptcy declaration.

Thank you

No any CSA debts are not removed by bankruptcy so arrears will still stand.

Assessment will be based on income so unless circumstances have changed there the amount will remain the same.

Thank you. Also, I read that you can declare yourself bankrupt if you''re even just £750 in debt. I''m also told he''s not currently working.

You can''t just declare yourself bankrupt. You have to apply, which will cost more than £750, then a court decides. It is highly unlikely that someone owing just £750 cold be bankrupt.
