Morning guys - my daughter who will be 18 in December has decided to change her course at college, which means she will be in full time ed until aged 19 and this will be a year longer than planned. Divorce papers state ex will support daughter until 18 and leaves full time education. She will now be 19 when she finishes - will ex still be required to provide CM for year longer despite was divorce papers say? Any help would be great as always xxxx

probably depends on the exact wording but you could always use CSA instead.

Thank you! So from a CSA point of view he should still support her?

Yes CSA , child tax credits and CB can be claimed whilst the child is still in full time education - ie 6th form or similar. Depends what course she''s doing if it''s classed as full time! Check the wording on the order as sometimes they are difficult to interpret .

The order says will continue to pay until daughter is 18 and leaves full time education. Difficult one! X

What are the exact terms of the order and when was it made? Does it say something along the lines child maintenance ends when your daughter reaches the age of 18 or ceases full time (secondary) education whichever is the later?

Exact wording is : payment until child finishes full time education at 18 years of age the payments will cease.
