Hi,

Can anyone help please? My partner left with my son a few years ago. She has since remarried and unknown to me has given step pr to her new husband.

I have been in constant with my son and have recently been told I must get PR to avoid any decion making issues.

How do I get PR when he already has it? None of the searches or advice sites seem to mention this.

Thanks.

You apply for an order for parental responsibility, or you and her agree for you to have it and use a parental responsibility agreement.

Hi Amanda,

thanks for this; thi is my intention and I have filled in the paperwork and sent it to her. What am confused about, is whether the fact that her husband has PR makes any difference to the procedure or not.

Thanks again.

Carlton
