I receive a salary of approx 45k and a monthly car allowance of approx £500 per month as a seperate line on my payslip. No other sources of income.

Have 2 kids. Am i liable to pay 20% of my total net income, or just my net salary, as the car allowance is a taxable company benefit i require to perform my job?

Hello

You should pay 20% of net income after NI and pension contributions, presumably the car allowance is used up runing the car any not used will count as income.
