Hello
And thank you for advance for any help.
I have 2 children by my ex - he left us for an 18 year old (now 19).

Obviously this was a tough break up and I have had a hard time getting anywhere with the CSA as the ex has been none too forthcoming with them regarding information.

On Monday he dropped the children back (had had them for a weekend) - he informed me that this would be the last time he saw them as he is expecting a baby with the woman and will be concentrating on that:(

He also told me to forge hounding him with the CSA as they are moving abroad but did not specify where.
I did some on line research and found out about REMO I called to let him know that this is the route I would be going down and tried to reason with him.

His reply was that "Not all countries are covered by REMO"

Are most countries covered ?
I saw that Holland, Quebec and some states in the US are not but surely the rest of Europe and the world must participate.

If not then which are not included as I would like to look into each ones court process for maintenence applications.

Hi Sallyadrian,

I take it you looked at the CSA site:

www.csa.gov.uk/en/setup/remo-countries.asp#S5

Countries not on the list have not signed up to the agreement.

Hello Young Again

I looked at this and it seemed like it had practically every country I could think of on it.

Hi Sallyadrian,

Holland is covered, under the name 'Netherlands'.

The list of Remo countries does not include Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, the ex-Soviet Russia countries, Japan and quite a few African and South American countries.

Do you have any idea where his g/f comes from?

Hi Sallyadrian,

Bangkok is in Thailand which as you say, is not on the list. The only thing I can think of is that you contact the Thai embassy:

www.thaiembassy.com/quickinfo/show_embassy.php

and ask them about their Remo status and whether they can give you some pointers on how to enforce a UK court order for CSA and/or spousal maintenance.

Good luck!
