Can anyone answer this before I get to the Tribunal Court.....

When I was first assessed I was both self employed and employed. The CSA added my Nett Profit from se to the Nett Income from employment and came up with a nice sum and call ed that my "Nett Income" from which they calculated my child maintenance. OK - no problem.

The following year my nett from from self employment was a £19500 loss.

The CSA say that they can't add a loss from S/e to Nett Income from employment to come up with a lower "Nett Income" and consequently a lower CM. They can only classify the nett profit as ZERO.

This is completely different to the way the Tax Man works out my tax bill.

Anyone had any experience of this ?? Would be grateful to know who is right here..........

thanks
