Hello, just joined forum although reading for months now. Very sorry to hear so many sad cases arising from divorce.

Thankfully my separation has been amicable. We split 2 years ago and divided our assets when we sold our house. So now thinking of DIY divorce but unsure about my daughter. She lives and is supported by my STBX. If we're still both in agreement about this financially how would we sought it out in the divorce?

Hello Nell, sorry she's 17. I am wondering about the divorce process, forms that would require completing. They all seem to be about who's paying what.

Hi,
Just write down the details as agreed with STBX in relevant sections of the Statement of Arrangements form. The booklet "Children and Divorce" from HMCS might help clarify.

If there's already a suitable agreement between you and the child is 17, there shouldn't be much problem with the process.

Thanks, I've now found the form D8A which seems clear.
