I divorced in 1996. There was a court order for my ex husband to pay monthly towards the costs of my 3 children. This was set to finish at the end of full time education - at the time intended to include university. My ex husband has gradually reduced the amount paid, even though this was not specified, but as he is self-employed I did not wish to incur further expense by taking him to court again. In July he stopped giving me anything at all. Two of my children at at university. My son lives at home and does not cost too much but my daughter went at 16 because she is studying dance and could start then. The first two years of her degree are a foundation degree and she receives a reduced student loan. I can not cope financially, as she is in London and her loan only covers her rent - no bills or living costs, let alone train fares, clothes etc. I feel that their father should still be paying something towards their expenses. I am right?

What is the exact wording of the order? The term "full time education" is open to interpretation.

unless the order states " tertiary" education , which effectively means uni, then you dont have a leg to stand on legally. morally though i think he should help out, its only fair.
