Hi All,

I've just applied to the CSA for CM as ex hasn't so much as offered a bean since we split. I've just received my Decree Absolute although Ancillary Relief still to be sorted (long story but basically needed the divorce asap as he is such a control freak)

Anyway, I applied through the CSA and have been informed that ex will have to pay the princely sum of £5 per week in total for all 3 of his daughters as he is claiming JSA. This is a professional man who is simply sitting on his hands instead of finding a job and yet somehow has the funds and time to go swanning off to Africa to stay with family for 7 weeks!!! Grrrrr!!!!

My question is, if I find out that he has a job, and I tell the CSA, will they investigate properly and make sure that his CM payments reflect his wage? Im sure he won't be the one to tell them after all.

I am working hard to ensure that all the bills and mortgage continue to be paid while he does absolutely nothing.

Hi,

If you have enough evidence to justify he is working then the CSA can trace this via his TAX and Nationl Insurance Number.

However you would need to prove the address ect of where he is working and the company would need to confirm this via CSA collecting their information. If he works cash in hand it is unlikely that the CSA will be able to pursue a claim through lack or evidence and resources. On their system he would still come up as being in receipt of Benefits.

Hope this helps x x
