I have been told i have to pay the csa a monthly amount so they can pass it on to my ex-wife.Its for my daughter who is 18 and at college. She is 19 in August, will my payments stop when she is 19?.
Also having found out that the money is going to be given to my daughter who is constantly partying and boozing all the time, surely the money should be for her basic needs and not for her holidays and socializing!!
Also another thing thats bothering me.i was led to believe that the csa could not put anything into force until a year after the date on the Consent Order,is that the case?

The CSA cannot get involved during the first year if a child maintenance agreement is included in a consent order. When no CM is in the consent order the CSA have jurisdiction and can assess CM.

CM is a contribution to general expenses including holidays and partying. Although I agree it's a foolish parent who encourages excesses, parents have different attitudes and apart from trying to reason there isn't really much you can do.

Under CSA rules CM is payable for children over 18 continuing a course until 19 at present. The age has actually been raised to 20 in legislation although implementation isn't until later this year or next year.
