My 18 year old is completing his 2nd year at college and is due to sit his A2s. My question is: when is the cut off point for the CSA - when he finishes formal lessons and takes study leave; after his exams are finished; after the 6 week summer break?

Before anyone assumes I have actually been getting CSA...since my son was 5 it has never been a regular payment due to my ex being...self-employed, what a surprise!

The arrears are now £7000 and we could seriously have used that money over the years. There's a charging order against his house but I'm not holding out any hope. Still, the money, should it ever arrive, will come in handy for my younger son to go to university. The CSA sucks!!!

Under CSA rules CM is due until Child Benefit ends in the first week of September.
