Hi

My lawyer has raised a concern with me that I could have problems if my ex raises a claim with the CSEC - I intend paying the mortgage on the family home until it is paid off and pay monthly maintenance over and above that. This would be approx 45% of my net monthly income - could the CSEM enforce a payment of more than this?

Also my lawyer has highlighted a concern regarding the financial claim that my children would have on me from the age of 16 - would this be over and above any agreed maintenance payment that I would be paying and, if so, how is this calculated?

Worried!!
