Hi, I have a Consent Order that has been in place for 5 years now. My eldest son is now 18 and heading to uni and I want to stop paying maintenance to my ex wife and pay him an allowance instead. The terms of my consent order are to pay 'until they shall respectively attain the age of 18 years or cease full time secondary education, whichever shall be the later or further Order as £..........'
Am I right in assuming I can do this or do the words 'or further order' have some bearing on this?
I could really use your help as I really want my kids to get the money directly to help them get by at uni (and not my ex):S

The order has expired so you are no longer under a legal obligation to pay child maintenance. "Or further order" means that it was open to your ex to apply to extend the term of the order.
