Hi,

I have the potential to leave my current permanent employment and take a lucrative contract. However! I am terrified that having taken on the contract with all its attendant risks, the CSA will pop up and take a big enough wedge to leave me no better off! I'm already paying them nearly £500 a month.

Is there a reliable calculator out there that will let me work out an approximate assessment (old scheme?).

Any help would be really appreciated as it's causing me some sleepless nights.

Cheers

Hi

have you tried CSA'a own

secureonline.dwp.gov.uk/csa/v2/en/calculate-maintenance.asp

for one child it is 15% of your net income. Although I hear that there are going to be changes that the perecentage will be applied to gross income next year instead of net.

The initial assessment will be on your basic salary however if you are planning to pay your self dividends then the PWC can ask for that to be taken into account.

Hi there- many thanks for taking the time to reply. However - this calculator is for the current scheme right? My assessment was done prior to 2003 (old scheme) so I don't think it counts?
