My ex now has to pay me slightly more maintenance since he got a job, but actually getting the money from him seems to be a problem!
He was supposed to pay me on the 27th December, but the money went into my account 11 days late, on the 7th of January. I wondered if it could be due to Christmas, and people being off etc, but this month, he was supposed to pay me on the 24th January, and so far that hasn't come in either! I'm going to leave it a few more days, and then ring to see what is going on. Normally though, I just get told "Oh he hasn't paid it yet. Theres nothing we can do until he pays it" or "Oh he's paid it now, we are just transferring it into your bank, and you should have it in a few days"
It's getting annoying that he can't get his act together and make the payments on time!

Are the CSA collecting the money for you, then putting it into your bank?

If they arent collecting it for you, and you are concerend about future payments being made, either on time, or just being met, then asking the CSA to collect on your behalf might be something to think about. If they collect for you, it can take around 5 banking days for the money to transfer into thier account, and a further 5 into your account - but it does get there.

It is probably the CSA keeping the money for longer - it usually takes them 2 weeks to transfer the money once they receive it.

Yeah the CSA are collecting it for me. I need to ring them later on, as 11 days after i'm supposed to have the money, it still hasn't gone into my bank account. I don't know whether to e-mail them via the complaint channel, as it seems to get things done quicker than when I ring them!
