Hi this is just a short post to vent my anger at how the csa can be abused .
I currently pay my ex the agreed CSA payment . I receive a shared care discount of 104 days ( band 2 ) .
My job allows me to care for my child for half the year so after speaking to my son ( Who is 13 ) we agreed that he could stay with me for more days which would take me closer to 156 days (band 3)so would increase my cared share discount and allow us to have more time together , this obviously suited all parties as for most of the time it has run smoothly.
However as the end of year approached and my ex arranged a couple of days that my son could nt stay over on pre planned days my end of year total of cared shared days came too a very convienent 155 days ! 1 under the required for a band 3 discount !!!
On speaking to the CSA they said the bands are set in stone and although they sympathised with me ( yeh right ) there was nothing they could do .
Finshed ranting now but why cant the CSA calculate cared share discount on the actual number of days we have our children so as to stop the system being abused by the so called FAIRER sex .
Really not happy :S

The really stupid thing is they base it on nights not days!

My kids cost nothing when tucked up in bed but a fortune during the day!

Could you not come to a private agreement and ditch the CSA?
