Hi, I have been seperated for about 8 months now and I offered my ex maintenance as long as she signed for it on receipt. She refused, since then i thought she would go down the CSA route but that hasn't happened either. I am currently taking her to court to gain a residence order for my daughter as currently seeing her on a Saturday only. Next hearing is in October following a Cafcass report. How do I pay maintenace for my daughter as I know my ex will try and use this against me with Cafcass and at the hearing. I want to pay but do not have her bank details to transfer money too, she refused to give me those aswell,so offered cash as long as she signed for it. Any advice appreciated.

Hi, apologies for the delayed response. I did not know that and will contact them myself, I felt that as my stbx applied that she would do so again...sadly we are not on amicable terms and u wanted to offer the help but if it means i have to speak to the csa then i will. I am the non resident parent and the website for the csa says that the resident parent provides the information about the non resident so thought i couldn't. I just want to know if not doing this earlier could harm my chances of shared residence in anyway?

children and money don't mix. You can decide not to pay maintenance and it will not affect the outcome of your shared residence case. However, judges are human and you would hope that having someone before them demanding they see their children more but not bothering to support them financially rings a few alarm bells!

Contact the CSA yourself and take it from there.
