Sudden reduction in CSA payments

She contacted the CSA after getting messed about with her ex, all the payments got worked out a couple of weeks ago and her ex was to be paying £430/month starting October. Now the CSA have called to say it''s now half that amount, couldn''t say why. He hasn''t lost his job or anything obvious.
What could change to see such a big reduction over the space of 6 weeks?

As far as I am aware CSA pay 15% for one, 20% for 2 and 25% for 3 children of net income less a deduction for overnights. They should be able to explain this to you on the phone. Is ex PAYE or self employed. Are you able to calculate this yyourself if you know the net earnings?, to see if the amount allocated to be paid is accurate or not?
