I was wondering if a solicitor should be the one to add a clause in a divorce settlement to allow yearly salary reviews of the person paying child support, or is that strictly CSA territory?

My partner and I are settling without getting CSA involved, but I just want to ensure that I can review any pay increases yearly to amend if needed and wonder how this is achieved with the CSA?

The child support payments should take into account any changes as it will be based upon a percentage of their pay (or this is how it should be worded)

If you feel that the person is lying about their pay increases then obviously you would then need to go through the CSA who will determine things correctly (eventually)

So if I am correct in understanding, there are no little doors you can leave open as part of the divorce settlement (when I say open door, I mean anything legalized in writing), when two people are going to settle child support without the help of CSA?

It's not anything to do with the solicitor looking after your case then?

Thanks!!
