Hi,

I am looking for some guidance on what I can request a court to order.

We originally started a divorce proceedings over 2 years ago.

At the initial hearing bank statements were provided and pensions valuations and house valuations.

The final hearing is in 2 months (several interim hearings have been adjourned due to the other side not complying with orders)

The other side have now sent me a letter asking for me to get a new valuation on the property as the price may have went up in the time since it’s been a year due to adjourned hearings. They state if I don’t comply they will write to the court and request the judge to order it.

My question is can the judge order this when assets and valuations were already decided?

And can I request the court to order him to provide up to date bank statements for the last 12 months, up to date pension valuations etc if they are requesting the property to be revalued?

Thanks

I have just been through this.
Yes you need to get an up to date house value but ensure he pays for half of the costs. You should ask for his up to date financial situation.
Make sure that you review your outgoings as they may have changed and increased.
I had to get another pension statement as well.
The whole process cost a fortune and I don't think it made any difference to the outcome. I did not do mediation due to safety issues but I think this would have saved me money and speeded up the process.
Have you got a solicitor? They should be directing you. My solicitor was expensive but he took a lead so there were not surprises.
