Hi,

If anyone has access to the Duxbury tables and can give me a calculation it would be appreciated.

My ex no longer wants to pay maintenance for life and has offered me £50,000 as a Clean Break which is I don''t believe is fair.

My current spousal maintenance is £13,500 and is index linked and I am 55.

If anyone can give me a figure it would be really appreciated.

The Duxbury Calculations table, part of the At A Glance publication by the Family Law Bar Association are available in some libraries. I found a copy in the Institute of Chartered Accountants library. In London, the British Library or the City Business Library should have a copy (if your local library doesn't). Sometimes, the library assistant is willing to read out the relevant numbers over the phone.
