I have just run the Divorce Calculator - very useful - thank you!

I wonder if someone could explain the two maintenance calculations at the end - one based on outgoings and one based on household data? There is quite a big difference between them. Why two options and when would each be used?

It's a rough tool.

Post details of ages, incomes, all assets (list as house equity; pension; savings etc so we can see liquidity), length of marriage plus cohabitation and children.

You'll get a better idea of possible solutions from real people.

I would really love to get some opinions from the people here. But if I wrote out all those details he would know straightaway it was me. He would be angry and it would make things worse. :(

That's why I was happy to find the calculator but the results are confusing.
