Hi everyone, can you help?
have nearly completed my DIY divorce, just waiting for time to pass to apply for Decree Absolute. As the divorce has taken a while i have now completed my change of surname by Deed Poll.This means that the divorce papers have the wrong surname on. Does this matter and if so what do i need to do about it.
Many thanks::)

I wouldn't have thought so as you have proof that you are the person who is named on the divorce papers. But someone else can probably advise further.

Not sure you need to change your name by deed poll either - legally as long as you aren't attempting fraud you can call yourself whatever you like - though with the current climate of worry over identity theft and terrorism deed polls are probably more acceptable to some authorities.
