Hi
I have to send an affidavit with my application for the Decree Absolute as the Nisi was issued over 12 months ago. Is there an example anywhere of what this should look like that I can copy.
Also am I right in thinking that if I take it to the Court office they can witness it. Thank you

Hi Lizbeth,

When I applied for the decree absolute some 18 months after the nisi I just explained in a cover letter that it took that long to sort out the ancillary relief process.

It wasn't an affidavit, just an ordinary letter with the case reference and my signature. The absolute was given without any problem.

I hope that helps.

Good luck!

YA

Hi
Thank you, I will try that, I'm sure I will be told if it's not good enough!
