Hi can anyone tell me if this is the norm and what should i do next i applyed to the courts for bailiff service on the 3/4/09 been back to the courts a number of time to ask whats happening with the bailiff service they have said they are still waiting nothing they can do but wait eventully after heated discusion with the manager i got the bailiffs number which i have been ringing constanley for at least two weeks someone answers he says they have gone to the house a number of times no answer i said to him ain`t there a time limit after which they return the papers back to the courts he said theres no time limit they will keep trying give him a call in a couple of weeks and we will go from there

It is normal for this to take a while - if you think they are failing becasue of the specific time of day they are trying you can ask them whether it is possible to go earlier/later (it may not be)

If you don't think they will succeed you can ask them to return the papers and you can arrange personal service yourself by using a private process server. This will be more expensive but unlike the court bailiffs the private process server will be able to try different locations (e.g. trying to find your ex on the way to/from work, at their local pub / when signing on for benefits etc) and different times of day including outtside normal working hours, and will be able to wait around for your ex if need be.

thx for the info where can i get this service from and how long do i have to go on trying to servre her with the petition and can i put in for ancerilly relief or do i have wait till she has been serve the petition thx in advance
