Hi everyone!
It has now been a year since a put in the Petition for divorce under the grounds of unreasonable behaviour. (he's an alcoholic) My soon to be ex says that he sent the acknowledgement of service over 6 months ago and I am yet to receive anything from the court.
I can't believe that he has sent the papers and as he is living in a foreign country cannot get the county bailiff to serve him. Does anyone know how i stand?
It has now been over two years since we separated and I just want to finish it.
Does anyone have ideas of what I can do?
Thanks

The first thing is to phone the court to see if the acknowledgment has been received. If not, the papers can be served by a foreign processor and a solicitor with international experience will be able to help you.
