Hi,
I'm conducting a DIY divorce and filling out form D8. On question 1 it asks for place of marriage by entering the words in your marriage certificate after "Marriage solemnised at...".
I was married overseas (South Africa) and my certificate doesn't have this wording. It has
Place of marriage: (Just a town)
Type of Marriage: CivilDenomination/Office: Methodist Church of SA
Anyone know what to put? I've googled all over but cannot find an answer,
Thanks.

Thanks - So just to confirm, you're saying I don't need the actual address or anything else, just "Civil Denomination/Office: Methodist Church of South Africa"?

As I understand it , the methodist church part is the type of ceremony you had, not the locaion.

If that it the case you should put in the name of the town, and 'South Africa', as that is where the marriage took place, and what appears on the certificate under 'place of marriage'

Thanks - is it safest to just put the address where the wedding took place do you think ie. place (a hotel), town, South Africa? Or just town, South Africa?
