I have only myself to blame - when I filled out the D8 I made two typos, both on names, inc that of STBX.

Does this affect the validity of the form? Do I need to amend it? If so how? Do I do this before STBX responds or should he point out the errors in his response?

I sent stbx the grounds for ub; then finished completing the form and submitted it to court; he's now received the full copy from the court and has picked up the typos. Neither of us know what to do.

He needs to return it to court within 8 days and point out the errors, do it now before a judge notices them as its easier to put right now.

It could be that you will have to amend D8 which means writing "amended petition" at the top of the front page, underline it and then underline each word you change.

Sim Sam (underline Sam)

Sign and date it again.

It did cost £80 but that may be more now, court will tell you what it costs.

Thanks Dukey - does he do this via a covering letter? And do I go to the court to amend or wait until someone tells me to?

If he has no solicitor then he should send the acknowledgment of service back to court completed and agreed and signed.

Attach a covering letter.

Ref; divorce application received (date)

Respondents full name and address.

I respectfully wish to bring to the courts attention (number) of spelling errors by the Petitioner - then list what they are and where they are in the Petition, the court will take it from there.
