Hi all

Luckily today i received the acknowledgement from the court to say that he has sent the papers back! Big relief!

HOWEVER.....he is saying in it that he has started divorce proceedings in tunisia (where he is from and where we married) and that there is a hearing tomorrow. I have aboslutely no knowledge of this....

SO my questions are:

1. Is there a place on the D84 for me to say as such, i know nothing about it and all i have said it true.

2. Will this cause a problem with the divorce proceedings here!!??

I am not very pleased to say the least...

Oh he also said he does not accept the statement of behaviour!! LOL
Any help gratefully received

Thanks

This is an affidavit in support so just complete it, your ex may not even be telling the truth, if he has made an application for divorce, if there are any issues arising it's for a judge to deal with.

Excuse my ignorance, but the affadavit is basically me swearing i am telling the truth isnt it?

So i shouldnt make a reference to this alleged proceeding then?

I dont think that there is even a place to say it!?

He told me that he had done it, but i never received any paperwork so i started it here..

I am just worried that this will delay things, and then we will have to go to court i really dont want to do this - i cant afford to!!

Yes the affidavit confirms the detail in the divorce application is true and also confirms your ex`s signature.

The process is quite rigid and its unwise to complicate it further, complete it as it stands and get it back so the judge can consider the forms and hopefully decree the Nisi, once you have that its game over, the divorce is allowed.
