Hi,
Please I need some advise/pointers to get my Divorce.
I was fighting my case in India for last 8 yrs but the Girls family started harassing me by not giving divorce and framing stupid case against me so the Divoce proceedings gets delayed. Last year I withdrew my case from India and filed Divorce from London. Their solicitor replied from India which court is considering as a reply and have given a date for hearing. What their solicitor is saying is that I have cases pending in India related to Divorce - but I checked the section for Divorce is different and the sections what their solicitor is talking of.
My reason for Divorce here in UK was more than 5 year of separation.
Can you please advise where I stand to get my Divorce!!!
I dont mind if you need any specific details I will be happy to discuss.

Hi there Kraj,

on the limited facts given it sounds very much as though this will be a case where jurisdiction will have to be decided. Where did you last reside as a married couple? Are you a ''resident'' in the UK? How far did the proceedings progress in India and in which state?

Hi, thank you for your response.. I was married in India and than came back to UK as I was working here(She has never been to UK) I am UK resident now. In India it was going on for 8 years and we only reached till where the court asked me why you want divorce and is there any scope of reconciliation.
