Hi, ive just registered as i need a bit of help filling in my form E. Does anyone know if i have to get a solicitor or someone at the court to sign my Form E before its sent off to my husband''s solicitor and filed with the court. Im representing myself because i cant afford a solicitor, and im unsure if it should be signed or not? If anyone can help me i would very much appreciate it. No one i have asked so far (that doesnt want paying) can help me. Many thanks :)

You can get your form sworn by any family solicitor (not your own). There is usually a £5 fee. Just ring a solicitor local to you and check and book an appointment to do this.

Yes if you are sending it to court it should be sworn. Getting it sworn now is definitely preferable to prevent delays later. You are basically swearing that the form is full and Frank disclosure. I even got my form sworn when I was doing voluntary exchange only at solicitors recommendation .

Or take it to the court and swear it in front of the counter staff for free!
