Hi, I need to get my affidavit sworn (DIY divorce so no solicitors), do I have to make an appt at the court for the court officer to witness this does anyone know or can I turn up and hope to see someone? I cant get hold of them over the phone. Thanks, Sam

Good news the new D80 forms don''t need to be sworn, just make sure it is one of the new forms.

thanks, the court sent it back to me saying I needed it to be sworn - so if I download a new one then thats okay to just send back then?

Did you send it to court before April this year?, if so then as I understand it it needs to be sworn, if after then it shouldn''t or indeed can''t be sworn, I''m not sure all courts are unto speed with the changes, call another court for advice.

no it was recently but the form they sent me is the one that needs to be sworn, I will try the local court again on Monday - thanks very much
