Appreciating this is not generally recommended but if I am divorcing under 5 years separation grounds:
A) can I do so without reaching agreement on children and the financials
B) can my ex stop it on the grounds we have not reached a settlement on the above

You can divorce based on five years separation without consent, you still need to prove your ex has the court papers though, if this becomes a problem come back to us.

Divorce cannot be refused on the basis finances are not agreed though it can be delayed in some circumstances.

The judge considering the application for divorce does need to know what basic arrangements exist for the children, health school where they will live ect, if this cannot be agreed then the divorce can still happen though again it will cause a delay.
