Hope someone can help.

I received my divorce petition at the weekend which i have to return this week and although i have visited a solictor previously I do not wish to engage their services just yet but will when we get into sortng out finances. I am not going to defend the divorce and therefore intend to do as much as possible to cut down on costs but have a few questions:

1C - What can i put in this box if I don't agree with all of the reasons for UB? i.e. do i need to be specific or can I just say 'Whilst not agreeing with all of the reasons for UB I do agree that the marriage has irretrivebaly broken down'

6 - If I do not defend should I object to paying costs of the proceedings i.e. what should I put in this box? If I put 'NO' is it likely that all her solictors costs will have to be met by me?

I will need to put the MH as the address although I am looking to move out in the next few weeks. I assume it is as easy as writing to the court , quoting the Case No and my new Address?

Thanks in advance

1C : Yes, you can put that but it might be worth while putting in that you reserve the right to contest the allegations if they are raised in other proceedings ;
particularly if they involve issues of children.

6: Costs are always in the discretion of the Court but the general rule is that the loser pays the winner's costs. In practice it is hardly worth a fight about ; couold you agree to split them equally ???

I would have thought that what you propose is fine but perhaps you would put a re-direction on your mail anyway.

Thanks for you swift response. Fortunately there are no children involved.

I will put No in the box but does that prevent me from arguing the amounts if stbx doesn't agree to split costs (is this court costs or court + her sols costs)

I had thought about re-directing the mail so will do that once I have a place to stay (planing to rent a small place)
