Is a seperation agreement a good thing prior to a convntional divorce?..

What exactly is a seperation agreement and what does that mean in law.

What can be legally put into this agreement and enforced?

My spouse and I are managing our divorce and want to make all our arrangements as fair possible. We are seperating prior to the divorce which will be uncontested by the respondent and the grounds of the divorce will make it very straight forward.

Any comments please...

If you are both in agreement you would be better getting an online divorce and Consent Order such as the ones wikivorce offer. A seperation agreement can be overruled by a court if the court feels it is unfair to either party.
