I got help with legal costs while I was on income support. 2 years on my case still continues..I was moved from IS to JSA...so far roughly £9k spent on legal costs (my side)
New regulations expect mothers whose youngest child over 12 years to return to Full time work.
I have applied for jobs in several places and feel pretty much optimistic..
just a thought.... will I still qualify to receive legal aid if I get a job that meets national minimum wage?

Thats a good link above. The answer is probably- it depends on your circumstances and will depend on how much housing costs that yoyu have. Legal aid is for those on low incomes which includes those on IS and (IB) JSA but also includes those niot on a 'qualifying benefit' but still on low income. They wil include any tac creidts in an assessment so make sure when tyou do the Legal Aid calculation you have an idea of what tax credits you will get
