ANY! advice please-this has been a slow death for 3.5years now!
We weren`t married but together for 14years. She was student/low earner and i was/am pilot from young age. In summer07 she started acting strange, late summer said she wanted to split. We had2houses(Joint owned but didnt really live together in either-the problem with the relationship!)
She had never saved but i had and in error had put her name on both mortgages(my money was deposits/fees etc)-she paid one of the morgages for 2.5years-total interest&capital paid was around17k by her. I of course thought we would b together forever!
After6months of difficult times i discovered she had been seeing someone else all along. At that time pre recession there was potentially 100k equity in both total. I offered her50k and said i would sell both houses. I paid 25k in advance to her from family monies and she moved out. Neither house could be sold due to recession and equity now pretty much nil. She asked me not to go back on offer so i paid her the next25k and a legal document was signed saying i had till end 09 to get her name of mortgages(sell or other means). I just cant get her name off and now live in hotels/with friends as both properties rented to cover mortgages and debt payment of 50k. SHE NOW HAS INSTRUCTED SOLICITOR TO GET COURT TO FORCE SALES. I`m sensible and feel i`ve done all i can-she cheated,i let her go(she`d done it before),paid her, got in debt, changed my work..and have stayed single mostly! Without the rents i cant make the payments which must be worse surely but i dont know what a judge/court would say. I can only add that she was v manipulative/lied profusely(to get me to pay/not go back on offer and sign legal agreement). Will judge take everything into consideration/how long will court take?/forced sale/s?
She has the guy she ran of with and a new life and no money morries.
I`ve told her it will be sorted by Jan 2013 but she wont wait(i`m having to take a job in a desert to sort the finances).
I really cant do any more:(
any advice please!
