Briefly,

Lived in a house jointly owned. I then inherited a house outright. Sold our house, split proceeds 50-50. Moved into my inherited house and been there ever since.

All living expenses shared 50-50. Partner has contributed towards maintenance, decorating, furnishing, double glazing etc.

Would I lose part of the house if we separated?

Are you married?

Do you both currently live in inherited house?

If house is in your sole name then you do not automatically lose any of it. However if she has contributed she may have a claim for beneficial interest. If you can, it is probably best to negotiate a settlement with her rather than get embroiled in a court case that could end up with you paying her costs if you lose. These sort of cases can be very expensive - we have one unfortunate wiki who has had to hand over some 1/3 of the value of her house plus around £50k in legal fees because her offer was just below what the ex was awarded
