Hi all.

Is there anything i can do to speed along the agreed pay off regarding th FMH. The ex is keeping the house and buying me out.

I signed the documents a few months ago now and have heard nothing since except for a confirmation of receiveing the docs and that they have been passed to the relevant person to process.

I have tried contacting my ex and her sol and both just ignore my requests for a progress update.

I was told by my sol that the process should take 6 - 8 wks and now entering double that time.

Without this payoff its impossible to make plans for a place of my own with the children.

what papers?

Is there an order?

Have you written to her solicitor about the delay? (writing may work better than phoning) - in the letter specifically refer to the original time scale, say how long it has now been and ask for a specific completion date. If there is not yet an order, is this also being finalised?

Ultimately, the only way of enforcing this is to apply to court for an order, but of course that is in itself an expensive and time consuming process.

There is no order. Just what we agreed.

I filled in a TR1 form transfer of registered title.

With no Consent Order or financial order stamped by the Court I am immediately concerned. What is to stop your ex changing her mind, as far as I can see she is under no obligation to do anything unless she chooses to.
