Hi I am new to this and I am looking for advice.
I have 2 questions one is about a car and finance and the other is about divorce and can I apply for him to pay for it.

Ok 1st question-
I have a car that is on finance, its on a 3 year deal, after the 3 years it can go back I can get a new one or pay the balance.

However the finance is in my ex husbands name.
I have been paying the finance on the car since we had it sept 2014. I have paid over £6000.
There is £5100 left to pay on the finance.
The car is only worth £3680 and as I have gone over the 30000 mileage there is a fee of 9p per mile, I have gone over by 17000 so its about £1500.
I didn't want this car to start with bt he went ahead and did the deal, then told me I was to pay for it. it's £225 a month.
He chucked me out of the house on the 1st Feb as I found out he had been on dating sites, he has been violent and I was homeless for a week with my son. I am going to file for divorce. my question is.. as the finance is in his name am I liable for any of the remaining finance? can he make me pay the fee and as the finance company will not talk to me.. do I just hand the car back to him? I feel sick that I have spent so much already on this.

2nd question is.. can I make him pay for the divorce seeing as it is his fault?

Assuming you are going to use unreasonable behaviour on the Petition you can just tick the box that you want him to pay the costs.

As for the car if it's in his name why not just park it outside the house, post the keys through the letter box and walk away?
