Separated with agreement. Spouse now wants more.

Hi everyone,
My wife and I are separated with a written agreement in place. We still live together.
She now wants half my savings, £14000, to buy her own house. She has said she will pay me back.
Question is, has anyone loaned their ex money and if so have you had an additional written agreement to get your money back?

People say lots of things about money.... don't do it in my opinion, sort out the finances as part of the divorce financial settlement. Has divorce process started?

Although we are separated with an agreement in place, we are living in the same house. My wife has now bought another house (with mortgage).

She has told me that she needs another £14,000 in order to pay the stamp duty on the purchase as she forgot to factor that in (given her history I can believe this). This seems to be validated by the mortgage broker and solicitor, although she may (or may not) have some money hidden away. Again, she isn't really trustworthy.

Giving her £14,000 will make it tough for me and our children. However I want to get her out of my house.

Has anyone set up a loan agreement with their ex-spouse before?
