Hi my divorce started 14 months ago since which my ex has been evading filling in form E3 just sending back not filled in except his name DOB date of marriage and when he moved out. Solicitors are sorting out legal aid for me and due to repeated letters to the ex for finances they are you g to take it to court for a Consent Order.... What does this entail??will I be called in or just him??...he moved in with his girlfriend and got engaged 6 weeks after we split and in the last 8 months has had 3 foreign holiday brought her a pedigree dog and living the perfect life....I feel he is just dragging things on to make my life hell while she just brags about her amazing b/f on Facebook.

If the matter goes to court you will both have to make full financial disclosure and attend all hearings even if you have a solicitor.

If he does not comply, ultimately the judge could decide to jail him. It would be daft to let it get to that stage though.

Legal aid is only available in a very small number of cases where domestic abuse is an issue and income and assets are below a certain threshold. It may need to be repaid in some circumstances. If that does not apply to you, it may be that the dilieis arranging a litigation loan to be paid back from any settlement.

Thanks for reply....I have already disclosed my finances via form e3 to my solicitors months ago....it.is the ex that has not .....and now solicitors are seeking a consent order to get the information required from him, which I doubt he will comply to either. So he cud be in contemp of court. If this happens then what ???...does it just keep going on ...really am at the end of my feather now
