As this will be the last year that Wikivorce runs the annual awards, make sure you vote in the final awards - it takes just a few minutes, and every vote counts :)

That''s quite an interesting question !

I think it''s true to say that I have probably been an adviser on this site longer than any other, though Fiona is only a matter of a few days behind.

You know, there is nothing that irked me more ( and still does ) was when I had taken some considerable trouble to reply to a question in detail, and the poster did not even take the trouble to thank me.

There is nothing that I like more than to be able to lift a burden from someone''s shoulders. I always used to think at CAB the ideal was when a client came to the bureau with a problem and left without one.

I think part of the problem is that it is difficult for most people, me included, to say that so and so''s contribution is the best without a detailed evaluation of all the posts of those who might be in line for an award, which in most cases is impossible when you see the numbers of posts some people chalk up.

I suppose it''s a bit like the Oscars, the fact that you are nominated for an award is probably sufficient recognition. As Shakespeare once said, " To be acknowledged, Madam ,ie o''erpaid ".

LLM,
For every article you have written, for every post you replied, for every message you answered, thank you, thank you, I read but do not always comment.
To be or not to be, that is the question,
Your contribution to WV has helped me learn how to be.

Best
