Hi all.
I'm currently in the process of starting a petition for divorce. I've been separated for over 2 years now and we have both had partners since.
A contact order for the children was done 2 years ago, there is no property or finances to sort apart from protecting myself for the future. I do have a NHS pension which I'm no longer paying into and is minimal.

and guess what!... I'm now with the man of my dreams. We last met over 20 years ago and now we have found each other again.... how cool is that. we're both very happy indeed and soooo in love, we plan to marry..... yeah I know..... but we believe it was always written on the cards..

Anyhow .... It would be good get some advice and support from you guys as I have never done this before.

thanks for reading this.

Hi liberated

I'm pretty much in the same position, as far as divorce. We will have been separated for 3 years next month and my petition went to court this week.

Welcome to Wikivorce - there are lots of nice peeps here who will support you along the way :)

Hi again liberated

Your partner would be welcome to join too :)

However, to avoid confusion, can you ask him to register membership in his own right and use his own ID please? If you look through the forums, you will see that discussions can become lengthy with many different people contributing. Also, discussions and debate can often follow subjects / topics of a sensitive nature. Members frequently refer to past posts in their contributions and consistency can be very important.

Your partner would not be obligated to reveal his partnership to you in his membership, but if it helps you both to do so, that is fine :)
