Hi Help I am new to this. I am married myself and so is my current partner. My partner has 2 kids and I have none. He will be leaving his wife so we can live together but I would like to know roughly what the court will expect him to pay roughly as a percentage towards the cost of his mortgage and manitenance to his kids and any other costs the court might expect him to pay like the bills of his marital home and will they take into consideration his new living costs? Thank you. any help appeciated

Hello Freedom and welcome. Everyone is friendly on here and will try to help you.

How long is a piece of string? difficult to answer that question. all i know is that any joint accounts they are both liable. Costs towards the children all depends on which avenue they take, whether they agree between them selves on an amount or the CSA are involved. the CSA will expect 20% of his net earnings minus tax and pension. (there is a new scale which i believe to be 16% of gross earnings. check this out).

;) ;)
