Hi everyone
I've been seperated from my husband for over a year and we are both in new relationships.we have started divorce proceedings and have just had a letter to say it has been refused as four of the six reasons are not classed as 'unreasonable' we are allowed to resubmit four new reasons but we dont know what to put.I am very fortunate as I am still on very good terms with my husband,he kept the dogs and lets me see them whenever I want and he has been very generous with his settlement. My new partner has a 14yr old daughter who up until oct I got on with brilliantly, now she wont speak to me and has refused to come to the house while i'm there.this was all over asking her to put her dirty washing in the laundry bin before she went back to her mums.

I would really appreciate any advice

thanks
Alli

Why don't you just divorce on adultery if you are both in new relationships.

Hiya
If we wanted to do that we would have to make a completely new application and pay another £300
on top of that husband doesnt want to put that as neither of us were unfaithful.

I beg to differ, as you are still not divorced (you only are when you have the Decree Absolute), and if you have had intimate relations with your new partner, then technically you have comitted adultery.

take care
