Hi ... have just found this site, and am intrigued.

I was divorced - rather, I divorced my ex - three years ago. I have custody/residence of my children full time. It was the best thing I ever did, for me and my kids, though a lot of nastiness still continues to blot the landscape.

I am interetsed to know how everyone else is experiencing both divorce and the considering of it.

You have only one life ... so make the most of it I say. To my suprise, i now have another life, so that is two!

hi alba, i am glad to hear that you have found a life beyond this and i will hopefully one day soon. myself and stbx separated at christmas and it has been an emotional rollercoaster to say the least. we have 2 daughters, 6 and 4 and they are to stay in the marital home with her whilst i move into a small flat.
i am totally devastated at the thought of not living with them but acceptance is starting to take hold and i will make the best of it somehow.
stick around in the chatroom and you will see what a strong community we have got going here lol.
all the best, chris x

Hi Chris

Thanx for that. I see that you are in Scotland too. From past experience, I have found most of these advice/social sites to be "Anglo-centric". Basically, one set of laws/advice for one country, and another set for another. However, i kinda feel that this is a cosy mix of what is most important, ie... yourself.

I look forward to getting more involved in this community here and seeing where it takes me.

Thanks again ...
