Hello,

In Oct. 2007, I signed a Marital Dissolution Agreement just to make my husband leave me alone about it.....he had a girlfriend at the time (out-of-state, thank goodness) but I did not want the divorce. He is in the military and has done 3 tours in the Middle East during the last 5 years...I was attributing behavior to PTSD so I was trying to be supportive and understanding. Prior to our court date of 12/13/07, he sought to reconcile just prior to leaving for Afghanistan for 10 months and notified attorney to put divorce on hold....returned home Sept. 08 declaring had "fallen back in love with me" and wanted to move back in w/me. I happily allowed without discussing the affair from '07...kinda felt like too much time had lapsed to drag it all back up. Things were great until Feb. '09.....he took job out of state (6 hours away) and started not answering his phone on occasion...always with some sort of excuse....On the weekend of our 20 year anniversary, he got sick and was unable to come home but did go out riding motorcyle w/buddies and didn't answer the phone all night....I called him first thing next am and when I asked him what he had done and what time he got home I was accused of asking "20 questions"....To make long story short(er) he called attorney following day and I received an amended dissolution of marriage in mail few days later. There's very, very little difference in two documents and attorney I spoke to yesterday said he did not understand why amended dissolution was even filed...I did find out that no reconciliation was ever filed and evidently should have been to void dissolution, I think? Anyone familiar with reasons for amended dissolution, please let me know...Sorry post is so long!!
